Transforming a Neighborhood Park: A Multi-Level Playground Rendering Project
One of our recent projects involved a custom-designed, multi-level play area for a neighborhood park. The site presented unique challenges, including a steep hillside that required careful planning to create functional and visually appealing scenes. The results? A vibrant 3D rendered design featuring modern play equipment, custom hardscape, and a cantilevered trellis walkway connecting five distinct levels.
Working from a site plan provided by the client’s architect, we began by establishing the main levels of the terrain in 3D. This set the foundation for modeling the hardscape, retaining walls, and pathways that tied the sections together. A unique feature of the design was a sloped, trellis-covered walkway that not only connected the levels but also created a striking tunnel effect.
After developing the initial structure, we collaborated with the client, sending proofs to refine the design. Once approved, we added custom materials and incorporated key details like the wrap around picket fence, planting plan, and all the equipment models from various manufacturers. To ground the design in reality, we included background details and features inspired by site reference photos, ensuring the final renderings felt authentic and connected with their client.

This project highlights how thoughtful design and detailed rendering can bring a complex site to life. By combining creativity with precision, we delivered a final product that communicates the vision clearly and connects clients to the possibilities of this reimagined park space.
